Christ Church Cathedral welcomes everyone to the Lord's table.  Jesus extends an invitation to all persons, regardless of their sexual orientation.  For more than 30 years, we have embraced our gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning (GLBTQ) brothers and sisters in Christ as part of our family of faith.  Together, we have strived for justice and healing, respecting the dignity of all human beings.  GLBTQ persons proclaim the Gospel in virtually every area of our life together as teachers, healers, ministers and servants.

The Cathedral is in the network of "Oasis" congregations found across the country.  These are congregations which have been through an educational process exploring what it means to be explicitly welcoming to GLBTQ Christians and their families.  In 2000, the Cathedral signed an "Affirmation of Welcome" stating its intention to be fully welcoming -- purposeful in welcoming, advocating for, and embracing the ministry, witness and gifts of all persons in our gathered body.

Integrity is a national non-profit organization of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Episcopalians and straight friends.  Integrity has been the leading grassroots voice for the full inclusion of LGBT persons in the Episcopal Church and their equal access to its rites and continues to be "a witness of God's inclusive love to the Episcopal Church and the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community."
